• The tour starts at 2:00 AM

• This trek requires a moderate level of fitness. The ascent takes about 1.5 - 2 hours on a steady uphill path of volcanic rock and gravel. 

• Footwear is Key: Sturdy, closed-toe hiking shoes or sneakers with excellent grip are mandatory. The terrain is uneven, dusty, and can be slippery.

• Dress in Layers: It can be chilly and very windy at the summit before sunrise. Wear a light jacket, fleece, or long sleeves. You can remove layers as you warm up during the hike.
