Safety with Monkeys

• The monkeys at the Sacred Monkey Forest are wild animals. While they are accustomed to people, they can be unpredictable.

• Please follow these rules:

  • Do not bring outside food or drinks into the forest (open bottles of water are okay).

  • Secure your belongings: Monkeys are known to snatch sunglasses, hats, phones, and shiny objects. Keep everything zipped up in a bag.

  • Avoid direct eye contact with the monkeys, as they may perceive it as a threat.

  • Do not try to touch or hold the monkeys.
